Except for the septic tank breaking it was a good weekend

We spent some time in the country again this weekend soaking up the last bit of the horrid sweat-soaked humidity for which my dear Washington, DC is known.  We had a record-heat day (in the 90s) but I suspect it won't get this hot again until next year so I tried not to curse the heat gods too much. 

I ate more than my fair share of some awesome Mexican Layer Dip and Key Lime Pie but I did put in some good time at the gym today. 

We bought a rug for the new room and I finally got a  Kitchen Aid.

Noah rode on a tractor and was scared of a horse.  We sat in the grass and enjoyed a late summer weekend as much as possible. 

I took a nap today because I've been a wee bit exhausted lately.  The exercise, the ants, the crawling-non-stop baby.
